I attend my Guitar class every Mondays and Wednesdays from 6-7pm,which was earlier 7-8 pm. After Mom left for Mumbai following Ramadan Eid, I used to go directly from office to my Sisters Florence Gardens Villa for Lunch,would relax there and would return home at 6 pm.After Eid when I started I thought it would be appropriate to change my timing to 5-6 pm as the work would finish fast. Also Asgar had gone to India on long break,and Nair the new driver had his accomodation in Salwa which was quite far away.
But then in 2 weeks dads shutdown started and he told me to better change the timing to 6-7 pm. Apparently one Monday I was unable to attend class,and so I went on a Tuesday at a new 6-7 pm time.That's when Joamy sir my guitar master told me it would be better if I meet the principal to tell him about the timing change as student keep changing their timing and it gets difficult to coordinate.When I went to meet the principal he asked me so many questions as to if I want to change the time and date,or just the time.and the reason for the change,and that we should miss classes and cover up as and how we want.As I had gone for the Tuesday class,this principal was extremely confused and was making the admin staff also confused.the admin staff came to my class again and asked me about the change.and then later again called me on a Friday morning home to ask as to whether the changes was only in timing or also for the days.I told them the principal wrote on my book and everything was cleared.I was wondering y is it made a big confusion matter.That to after filling up the form.Good I didn't tell him that I used to come for a 5-6pm class which wasn't recorded anywhere as such.That would have put my tutor in problem.
Joemy too is not happy with his work,as he feel music tutors r not given the due respect needed.Unfortunately as there is no one else to teach Guitar,they aren't giving him a release letter and haven't accepted his resignation.
Today when I was leaving the class,I don't know why but all the students had left and the place was empty and only Asgar was waiting for me outside.So I saw the Principal talking to him,and I ran to the car,before he will ask any further questions.I heard him ask about the timing and Asgar said 7-8pm-and I immediately said its 6-7 pm.He saw me and said -OK its you.I told him that i had informed u about it.Then he is like so your husband is working in QCon,I said its my father sir,I'm not married.then he is like OK OK,I'm sorry.your father is working in Qcon.then I was like-Why is there some problem???? He was like-no that's fine.No problem.
I just thought to myself-that he will soon be coming up with a request or resume.I then told Asgar not to talk to him too much as he is very pestering sort,and is always standing at the gate to c who is parking their vehicle in the shaded area-as if we will eat the car park.It doesn't look good for a Principal to keep telling people where to park and where not to-when there is a person assigned the transport duty.
I had told Joemy sir also about this in the class,after the principal had come to the class to ask as to why the lady with me was taking 2 hrs continuous class.and she told him in Malayalam that he had spoken to him about it and that she had missed a class.That lady was working in the HMC HR depart as an HR assistant,and told me that its quite difficult to get an entry in HMC as she too was trying to get in her cousin.The cvs will come to the HR dept but cant say which Cv will be selected n the criteria for selection.and that there is no promotion or growth as the top positions are reserved for Qataris.and i asked about her pay and she said it was 4500 plus transport allowance.n the pay is not according to govt standards.
